Carbine™ insecticide cotton
A new way to maximize your yields.
Carbine™ insecticide is the new, uniquely effective crop protection
product that specifically targets troublesome insects infesting cotton
-- plant bugs, cotton aphids and cotton fleahoppers -- while being
virtually non-toxic to beneficial insects and mites.
Carbine is a new class of chemistry with a new, unique mode of action -- A-Type Potassium Channel Active.
It stops piercing and sucking pests from feeding
within one hour of exposure. The reduction in feeding leads to greater
square retention and thus higher yields.
Carbine allows for both a reduction in overall insecticide use and increased yields.
Given its outstanding efficacy on key cotton
pests, and being practically non-disruptive to biological control, it
is considered the perfect partner in Integrated Pest Management
programs.
Carbine active ingredient has been shown to be
different from any other major class of insecticides. Symptoms on
targeted pests are also different than those caused by other
insecticides. Carbine is a key component of Insect Resistance
Management programs.
When applying Carbine on cotton, please refer to the product label for specific use instructions.
Carbine controls:
| Pest |
Rate (oz/A) |
| Tarnished plant bug |
|
| Western plant bug |
1.7 – 2.8 |
| Cotton fleahopper |
|
| Aphids |
1.4 – 2.8 |
Mixing and Application: Apply 1.4 – 2.8 lb. per acre
depending on targeted insect pest and population stage. Begin
applications as populations reach economic thresholds according to
local economic guidelines. The low rate can be used early season for
low pest densities or when tank mixing with other products registered
for target insect control. Use the high rate for higher pest
populations, dense foliage, and longer residual. Rapidly growing
cotton may need retreatment.
Carbine may be tank mixed with products approved
for use on cotton. Carbine is generally compatible with other
insecticides, fungicides, fertilizers and micronutrient products
provided sufficient free water is available for dispersion of all the
tank-mix products. However, the physical compatibility of Flonicamid
50WG with tank-mix partners should be evaluated using a jar test before
use. Read and follow all manufacturers’ label recommendations for the
companion product.
Available In: 4 x 3.5 lb. jug packaging. One jug will treat 20 acres at 2.8 ounces per acre.
